Welcome to the Oregon Chapter of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys ("Oregon NAELA," "we," "us," or "our"). By participating in our organization, website, events, and related activities, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. 2. Membership and Participation

2.1 Eligibility

Membership in Oregon NAELA is open to attorneys and legal professionals who practice or have an interest in elder law. Members must comply with NAELA’s national membership requirements and any additional state chapter qualifications.

2.2 Membership Responsibilities

By becoming a member, you agree to:

  • Abide by NAELA’s Code of Ethics and Professionalism.

  • Act in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Engage respectfully in chapter activities, including meetings, events, and discussions.

2.3 Membership Termination

Oregon NAELA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for violations of these Terms and Conditions, ethical misconduct, or failure to meet membership requirements.

3. Events and Educational Programs

3.1 Event Participation

Oregon NAELA hosts educational programs, networking events, and advocacy initiatives. By attending our events, you agree to:

  • Conduct yourself professionally and respectfully.

  • Comply with venue policies and event guidelines.

3.2 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Programs

CLE credits may be available for certain events. It is the responsibility of the participant to confirm compliance with Oregon State Bar CLE reporting requirements.

4. Code of Conduct

All members and participants are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, professionalism, and courtesy.

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all legal professionals.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Use

5.1 Chapter Materials

Oregon NAELA may provide members with educational materials, newsletters, and resources. These materials are protected by copyright and may not be distributed, copied, or modified without permission.

5.2 Use of Member Information

Oregon NAELA respects member privacy. Personal or professional information shared within the chapter shall not be used for solicitation or unauthorized purposes.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • Oregon NAELA provides educational and professional development opportunities but does not offer legal representation or advice.

  • Participation in chapter activities does not establish an attorney-client relationship.

  • Oregon NAELA is not responsible for the actions, advice, or opinions of individual members.

7. Amendments and Updates

Oregon NAELA reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions as necessary. Members will be notified of any significant changes. Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Oregon.
